The Problem

When running in-vehicle DCDC chargers it is recommended to connect the DCDC charger as close to the auxiliary battery as possible. This reduced voltage drop, resistance and heat resulting in more amps going into the battery providing a greater state of charge and a more efficient charge supply to the battery. 

The Solution

In situations where longer cable runs are required between the DCDC & the auxiliary battery (From the vehicle to a caravan for example), it is important to ensure you have adequate cable size to not restrict current flow to the battery when charging. Restricted current flow results in increased heat, wear, resistance and poor charging efficiency. 

This 120A - 50A Anderson adapter cable is specifically useful to connect a 120A charge circuit to a pre-designed 50A Anderson circuit bridging the gap between a hard-wired 120a charge circuit and a pre-designed 50a caravan Anderson circuit.
